I loved almost all of the products in my Ipsy Glam Bag this month. I think they really nailed what type of products I want to try from my profile. I think I have found a couple new products that I will consider using for a really long time. Plus, I love this month’s bag!
I really ended up enjoying this concealer. It brightened my under eyes and was not drying. Also, a lot of product goes a long way. I applied this concealer with a sponge every time I tested it and I thought it blended beautifully.
1. Claim: Medium-Full Coverage
· Result: I would call these more of a medium coverage concealer. It did not hide the really dark spots near the corners of my eyes without multiple coats.
2. Claim: Illuminating to camouflage dark circles
· Yes, this is very illuminating and does a good job of hiding most of your dark circles
3. Claim: Non-creasing
· I found this to have minimal creasing. I would not say it did not crease whatsoever but to see the creasing, you would really have to look close-up in the mirror. I also thought a setting powder really helps.
4. Claim: Lasts Morning to Night
· Yes. This stayed on my under eyes all day. I never saw it getting patchy.
Sur-Medic – Brightening + Even Skin Tone Mask – One Mask $3.50
My very first impression of what I enjoyed about this facemask is how easily it stayed on. Once I had it in place, I didn’t have to worry about it slipping and sliding all over my face. When I took off the mask I thought my skin was visibly brighter.
1. Claim: Plump, Lift, and Restore Elasticity
· I don’t have a lot of issues with skin sagging so I think it would be pretty hard for me to judge these claims. However, I liked how the mask left my skin looking.
2. Claim: Nourish + Strengthen
· I think it did nourish and strengthen my skin. My biggest concern about this mask is that it left my skin feeling sticky until I woke up the next morning.
Meech N Mia – Pressed Eyeshadow in Taupe – Full Size $11.50
This eyeshadow is a very pretty crease color. However, it did not have nearly as much pigment as I would’ve liked. It took a while to get the color to really show up on my eyelids. Good news is, I never had any kick back in my container.
1. Claim: Matte-Finish
· Yes, this has a very matte finish. There is no sheen or sparkle to this eyeshadow.
2. Claim: Mauve-Pink Color
· I would say this color leans more towards a purply mauve than a pink. I don’t think there is much of a pink color during application at all.
3. Claim: Stays on Day to Night
· Yes. This eyeshadow would stay on my eyelids day to night and I didn’t find it having much of a problem with creasing.
F.A.R.A.H Brushes – Powder Brush 50F -- $14.00
My first impression of this brush is how cute and beautiful it is. I love the handle, I love the brushes, I even love the little net that holds the bristles all together. Big bonus, it also works great! I love the subtle way it applies my bronzer and blush.
1. Claim: Versatile
· Very, very versatile. I love how this brush applied my bronzer the most. I don’t like a lot of definition with my bronzer, so the way this brush blended the bronzer into the skin allowed my cheeks to still look so natural.
2. Claim: Super Soft Bristles Blend Easily and Evenly
· YES YES YES. I loved the way these bristle blend everything you apply to your face.
Tony-Moly Petite Bunny Glass Bar in Juice Cherry – Full Size $8.00
First, I appreciate how different they were trying to get their packaging to look. I really respected the creativity. However, I did not love this color on my lips. It was just too bright for me. The best part about this lip product is how soft it makes your lips feel while it is applied. I do not think it remoisturizes your lips, but just makes them feel juicy while it is on
1. Claim: Pink Tinted
· I would say this is more of a mix between pink and red tinted. There is definitely more red in the formula than “pink tinted” makes you think of. This color was just too bright for me and since it is such a bright tint, it needs to be applied very carefully. Since this does have to be applied so precisely, the round top of the product makes it difficult.
2. Claim: Smells like Cherries
· There is a smell too it but it isn’t like “BAM that is cherries” type of smell. Not my favorite cherry scent.
